Libor Telethon

By the end of 2021, the global rates market needs to be ready for the death of Libor. This telethon will cover four key themes across three hours of discussion, broken into a range of formats – but the basic idea is to put as many of your questions to our experts as possible.

By the end of 2021, the global rates market needs to be ready for the death of Libor – and an announcement on timing may arrive much sooner than that, triggering a cascade of calculations, revaluations and repricing as participants prepare for the switch to fallback rates.

  • But will those fallback rates be the only game in town?
  • When will the announcement arrive?
  • Will it cover all of Libor’s 35 tenors and maturities?
  • How will the toughest legacy positions be handled?
  • And will some markets – including the US – be ready to move?

As the clock ticks down, the number of questions seems to be ticking up. So, Risk.net’s editorial team is putting on a bumper, year-end Q&A session – a sort of Libor telethon, if you will.

Join the Telethon and ask your questions

The telethon will cover four key themes in 3+ hours of discussion, broken into a range of formats – but the basic idea is to put as many of your questions to our experts as possible.

The telethon will be marshalled by three of Risk.net’s editors, who have been overseeing our market-leading coverage of the topic since the Financial Stability Board fired the starter’s pistol on Libor reform in 2014.
